From QualityApp to FoodOps: Our 2025 Review

We’ve had a great year of learning, innovation, and growth, and we’re excited for what 2026 has in store.

Here’s a quick look back at some of our key milestones and achievements in 2025.

1) Evolution from QualityApp to FoodOps

We've been QualityApp since 2022, and what began as a solution to eliminate paperwork has grown far beyond digital forms. Our customers quickly started using QualityApp as operational infrastructure to manage critical processes, connect teams, and drive real-time decisions.

This revealed a bigger challenge in the food industry: disconnected people, systems, and data.

FoodOps is our response. Building on everything we developed with QualityApp, FoodOps is powered by a unified factory data model for enhanced capabilities, including composable data capture, real-time traceability, live mass balance, and IoT connectivity.

By building on past successes, FoodOps positions us and our customers to solve the most complex challenges across the food supply chain.

2) Customer Growth

The platform is proving successful across multiple verticals, including meat, poultry, cheese, and fresh produce. This year, we doubled our customer base, as more forward-thinking food manufacturers recognise FoodOps as a flexible, scalable platform for efficiency, connectivity, and growth.

A big thank you to all our customers for trusting us to support and improve your factory floor operations!

3) FactoryApps Launch

Our FactoryApps module now enables food manufacturers to build tailored screens and workflows across all areas of the factory floor. Instead of having to compromise on existing solutions, or spend time and money developing custom solutions, companies can now build and deploy into production in hours with the no-code App Studio.

For example, Abbey View Produce created dynamic workflows for intake, grading, processing, packing, and dispatch in just five days with support from our implementation team. FactoryApps makes FoodOps truly self-service and scalable.

These apps can be used in conjunction with the FoodOps platform or integrating directly into your existing systems. We're incredibly excited to see where our customers will take these over the coming year.

4) Unified Factory Data Model

Central to the evolution of FoodOps is the unified factory data model the team has developed, which is already enabling the next generation of capabilities, including:

  • Composable, intelligent data capture
  • Real-time traceability across production
  • Live mass balance
  • Deep IoT and device connectivity

Data is stored in a way that is contextualised for food manufacturers, providing a foundation for accurate insights that hasn’t existed before in food manufacturing software.

This lays the foundation for AI to deliver real value on the factory floor, moving us closer to the long-term vision of a digital twin of the factory.

5) Platform Enhancements

We continue to improve the platform based on customer feedback, delivering tools that drive efficiency and connectivity. Key updates this year include:

OCR & Vision Capture

Our procedure builder now includes OCR and vision capture technology, fully integrated into your production procedures.

  • Capture critical data from products, labels, and documents in real time
  • Verify product features, documents, and variable data
  • Automate label checks to reduce errors and speed up production
  • Runs in the browser on standard tablets and phones, so no specialist hardware required
Smart Document Centre

Our Document Centre gives food manufacturers complete control over their documentation, ensuring teams stay compliant, aligned, and audit-ready, with:

  • Full document control including versioning, review cycles, and approvals
  • Configurable workflows and granular permissions to match real factory processes
  • Built-in editor keeps control all in one place without having to download to word or manage PDF versions
  • Native integration with the Paperless Factory module, allowing SOPs to embed directly inside digital checks
Dashboard and Reporting Upgrade

Our dashboard and reporting capabilities have been significantly upgraded to give teams faster, deeper insight into their operations, including:

  • High-performance Custom Views with pivot-style reporting
  • Advanced query builder to combine and analyse multiple datasets
  • Modernised KPI widgets and trend charts for clearer performance tracking
  • Improved export options and TV-mode screens for sharing insights across teams
  • Faster performance and richer filtering for more responsive, real-time analysis

6) Food Manufacturing Awards Finalist

We’re proud to be named a finalist for the Collaboration and Partnership Award at the Food Manufacture Excellence Awards 2026!

In partnership with Symprove, we digitised their factory from paper-based processes to fully paperless workflows. The project delivers lasting value and sets a model for digital transformation in UK food manufacturing.

The winners will be announced at the London Hilton Bankside on 5 February 2026—wish us luck!

7) Customer Success Stories

Our customers are seeing real, measurable results:

  • Oddbox – reduced inspection and claims time by 50%
  • Symprove – digitised 100+ workflows & 60+ data points to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Cambridge Commodities – expanding operations overseas is seamless with our cloud-based, self-service platform
